If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 1 Corinthians 12:26 ESV
Elevator Pitch
The Alliance for Creative Outreach (TACO) serves the Lord by supporting and equipping Christian content creators with training, resources, and community.
Mission Statement
The Alliance for Creative Outreach (TACO) exists to support and equip Christian content creators with training, resources, and community so that they are prepared to share God’s love with lost, lonely, unchurched, and spiritually hungry people – around the world – with faithfulness, excellence and integrity.
Who we serve:
- Christian content creators! They need support, and are often neglected or misunderstood by churches and non-digital ministries. So we provide training, resources, and community.
- Who THEY serve:
- The lost who would never consider going to church, but spend hours on social media
- The lonely who can’t attend church due to illness or work schedules, or have stopped attending because of personal conflicts
- The Christian audience, who are desperate to find entertainment and encouragement that reflects their values and their God
What we do:
- Train creators to serve God by:
- Exercising Biblical leadership principals (2 Timothy 2:15)
- Creating content that is culturally engaging, welcoming, and God-honoring
- Leading and growing their communities to support seekers and believers
- Develop resources to help creators more easily execute their mission with faithfulness, excellence and integrity
- Host a community environment where creators can engage with us and one another
- Partner with creators and organizations whose values and commitment match our own, to support one another through encouragement, creative collaboration, and continuous innovation.
- Support and attend activities that serve our creator community
Why we’re different:
- We focus on faithfulness rather than growing viewer numbers. (Luke 16:10, 1 Corinthians 4:2) Content channels of any size can have a kingdom impact. Creators should be foremost concerned about being faithful to serving in the mission God has given them, before worrying about numbers.
- We believe that everyone is uniquely made and given different gifts. (1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 12:12-26) We work with creator’s individual gifts and styles, different types of content, and different platforms. In this way, God reaches people of different backgrounds and interests, too – some who would never watch what we typically think of as “Christian content”.
- We believe content creators are meant to serve the Lord with skill. (Exodus 35:30-35, 1 Samuel 16:18, Psalm 33:3) It is not enough to merely “create content”. Working skillfully means things like understanding our market and the culture of our platform, learning about the technology we’re using, creating a quality product, supporting one another, personal development, and being good leaders of our virtual communities.
- We believe content creators are meant to serve the Lord with integrity. (Titus 1:7-9) Content creators, no matter how small, must be a good witness. The world is just looking for a reason to discredit us, and reject Christ, and we can’t give them that reason by being lazy, taking shortcuts, or breaking rules.
